Find Recent emails
Open SettingsEmail. Recent emails lists the latest 20 emails sent to your forwarding address, newest first, with the subject, sender and when it arrived. A pill on each says what happened to it. Only admins see this list.
Read, reading or waiting
- Reading…
- SlipInbox is opening the email. This usually takes a minute or two.
- 2 receipts
- This many receipts were made from the email. “1 not a receipt” after it means a file was left out.
- Waiting for approval
- The sender isn’t allowed yet. Open the email and press Decide on this sender; see Decide on unknown senders.
- Could not be read
- Reading stopped. Open the email and press Try again.
Set aside
These emails were set aside without being read. Nothing from them was kept as a receipt, and SlipInbox doesn’t tell the sender.
- No receipt found
- The email had no photo or PDF, and its text isn’t a receipt. Forward the email with the receipt in it.
- Automated email
- An out-of-office reply, bounce or other automatic message. Nothing to do.
- Ignored — address off
- Your forwarding address was off when it arrived. See Turn off or replace your forwarding address.
- Ignored — sender turned off
- The sender’s address is turned off in Contacts. Turn it on there to take their receipts again; see Contacts.
- Sender blocked
- The sender is blocked in Contacts.
- Not for this address
- The address stopped working before the email was read, for example because it was replaced. Forward it again.
- Ignored — receipt allowance used up
- Your plan’s receipts were used up. Forward it again once there is room; see Your trial and receipt allowance.
- Ignored — subscription not active
- The subscription wasn’t active. See Overdue, suspended and locked.
- Ignored — organization suspended
- The organization was suspended. See Overdue, suspended and locked.
- Ignored — email forwarding not in plan
- Your plan didn’t include email forwarding. See Change or cancel your plan.
Open an email for details
Press an email to open it. Depending on what happened, you see:
- The receipts made from it, each linking to its receipt.
- A Not read list of attachments that were left out, with the reason: too large, over the file limit, or could not be opened. Send those again as smaller files or in a second email.
- Why reading stopped, with Try again.
- The start of the email’s text, which is handy for reading a confirmation code.

An email isn’t listed
If an email you sent isn’t there at all:
- Check the address it went to. Mail sent to an old address that was replaced never shows up.
- Check that your Gmail or Outlook rule actually ran; see Forward automatically from Gmail or Outlook.
- The list holds the latest 20 emails, so an older one may have dropped off the end.
Emails take a minute or two to appear. Reload the page if you are waiting for one.
