Terms of Service

The rules for using SlipInbox, in plain words.

Effective 2 October 2026

About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and SlipInbox (“we”, “us”) for the use of SlipInbox: the website, the signed-in workspace, the installable app and the forwarding email addresses.

By creating an account you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you sign up for a business or other organization, you confirm you may accept them on its behalf.

Your account and organization

Signing up creates an organization with you as its owner. Owners and admins can invite people, change their roles and remove them. You are responsible for the people you add and for what they do in the workspace.

Keep your password to yourself and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You must give accurate details and be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live.

What SlipInbox does

SlipInbox turns receipt photos, PDFs and receipt emails into structured expense data: merchant, date, category, amounts, VAT and currency. You can check and correct each receipt and export the results.

Receipts are read automatically, and automated reading can be wrong. Check every receipt before you rely on it. SlipInbox is not accounting software and does not give accounting, tax or legal advice. You remain responsible for your books, your tax returns and the records the law asks you to keep.

Your content

Your receipts, files, fields, notes and exports are yours. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display them only as needed to run SlipInbox for you, to keep it secure and to fix problems.

You confirm you have the right to send us everything you upload or forward, including any personal details about other people that a receipt contains.

Forwarded email and contacts

Your organization has its own forwarding address. Anyone who knows it can send mail to it, so share it only with people you trust. Mail from senders you have not added is held until an owner or admin allows it, and is discarded if they reject or block the sender.

Contacts are people who send receipts without an account. You may add a contact only if you have a reason to, and you are responsible for telling them their receipts are processed by SlipInbox. We never reply to senders.

Acceptable use

Do not use SlipInbox to:

  • break the law, or commit or hide fraud, including with false or altered receipts;
  • send content you have no right to share, or malware;
  • send unsolicited mail to forwarding addresses or overload the service;
  • get into accounts, organizations or data that are not yours, or test our security without permission;
  • copy, resell or rebuild the service, or scrape it by automated means.

Fees

SlipInbox is free to use while we build it. Before any paid plan applies to your organization, we will tell you the price and give you the choice to stop using SlipInbox and export your data first.

Changes and availability

We improve SlipInbox all the time, so features may change, move or be removed. We aim to keep it available but do not promise it will always be, or that it will be free of errors. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot do without, for example by exporting regularly.

Suspension and closing

You can stop using SlipInbox at any time. To close your organization and delete its data, write to us at hello@slipinbox.com.

We may suspend or close an account or organization that breaks these terms, puts others at risk or must be closed by law. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.

Disclaimers and liability

SlipInbox is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we make no promises about it beyond those in these terms, including about the accuracy of what it reads.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or tax and accounting decisions made from receipt data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not let us limit.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia, and its courts settle any dispute about them, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When a change matters, we will tell owners by email or in the workspace before it applies. Using SlipInbox after that means you accept the new terms.
