Clients send receipts the way they already send everything
Asking a client to learn a new app rarely works past the first month. Asking them to forward an email works. Each client's organization in SlipInbox gets its own address, and the client, their staff and their suppliers forward receipts there. Staff with a paper slip in hand send a photo to SlipInbox on WhatsApp once the client adds their number on People. Email forwarding and WhatsApp come with the Business and Enterprise plans.
Nobody on the client's side needs an account to send. The receipts arrive read, with merchant, date, subtotal, VAT and total filled in.
How a client gets set up
The client signs up and owns their organization, plan and data. They invite you with the Accountant role. If you already have a SlipInbox account, you join straight away, with no invite email to wait for.
The client creates an organization and picks a plan.
The client invites your email address as an Accountant.
The client shares the forwarding address with staff, sets up an automatic forward from their mailbox, or adds staff WhatsApp numbers on People.
You switch to the client from the account menu whenever you sit down to work on their books.
Every client from one sign-in
One account belongs to as many organizations as invite the account, with a separate role in each. Receipts, settings and contacts stay apart per client. The account menu lists your clients, and one click switches between them.
What the Accountant role covers
Accountants see every receipt in the organization, correct fields, approve and reject, set up categories, custom fields and export layouts, and export. The client keeps control of the team, contacts, billing, the forwarding address and WhatsApp.
Built for VAT and audit work
The Accountant / VAT export layout carries subtotal, VAT, receipt number, merchant tax ID, payment method and the merchant's legal name. SlipInbox flags receipts where subtotal, VAT and total fail to add up, and receipts with a receipt number already used by the same merchant.
Every receipt keeps the original photo or PDF and a history of who changed what. Approved receipts lock, so the file you posted from stays true to the workspace.
Questions
Who pays for the client's plan?
The organization pays, so the client by default. Invoices go to the billing details the client enters at sign-up.
Do I see clients' receipts mixed together?
No. You work in one organization at a time. Receipts, contacts and settings never cross between organizations.
Does SlipInbox replace my accounting software?
No. SlipInbox prepares the receipts and hands you a CSV or Excel file. You import the file into the software you use today.
