Turn the address off
Turn the address off to stop email intake for a while, then turn it on again later. The address stays yours.
Open SettingsEmail.
Under Forwarding address, open the menu beside the address and choose Turn off.
Copy addressTurn offEmails sent here are ignoredReplace address
The address now shows Paused. Emails sent to it are not read, and they appear in Recent emails as Ignored — address off. They are not kept for later, so forward any you need again once the address is on.
Turn it on again
Open the same menu and choose Turn on. Emails that arrive from then on are read again.
Replace the address
If the address is getting spam, or has ended up somewhere it shouldn’t, replace it. SlipInbox gives your organization a new address straight away, made from its name and four digits.
Open the menu beside the address and choose Replace address.
Read Replace your forwarding address? and press Replace address.
After you replace it
Choose Copy address to copy the new one, then update everywhere the old address was used:
- Tell your team and the contacts who send you receipts.
- Change any Gmail or Outlook rule that forwards to the old address. Gmail asks you to confirm the new one; see Forward automatically from Gmail or Outlook.
- Update the address anywhere you have saved it, such as with suppliers that email you invoices.
Receipts already made from earlier emails stay as they are.
