Verify your number
SlipInbox has one WhatsApp number for every organization, so your number tells SlipInbox whose receipts these are. You prove the number is yours once.
Your admin adds your number to you on People. You get a verification link from them, or find the link on your dashboard under Verify your WhatsApp number.
Open the link on your phone, or scan the QR code with your phone’s camera. WhatsApp opens a chat with SlipInbox with a code typed in.
Press send. SlipInbox answers Your number is verified.
Send receipts
Send a photo of the slip, or the PDF, to the same chat. Each photo or file becomes one receipt from you, read the same way as an upload, and counts toward your organization’s monthly receipt allowance. A flat slip in good light reads best, see Take a readable photo.
Once the receipt is read, usually within a minute, you get one reply:
- the merchant, date and total, when the receipt was read,
- a request for a clearer photo, when the photo was hard to read,
- a note that the photo was no receipt, which SlipInbox leaves out.
Texts, voice notes, stickers and videos get no answer. No reply to a photo means the photo went no further. Ask your admin to check SettingsIntegrationsWhatsApp.
For admins
Open SettingsIntegrationsWhatsApp and turn WhatsApp on.
Open the person on People and add their number under WhatsApp. Without a country code, SlipInbox reads the number as your organization’s country.
Send them the verification link, or let them scan the QR code from your screen. The number shows Verified once their message arrives.
A verified number belongs to one organization. If another organization verified the number first, they remove the number from their People before you add the number here. Turn a number off on People to stop its receipts for a while. Removing the person removes their number too. See People and reimbursements.
