Receipt statuses explained
Processing, Ready, Needs review, Failed, Approved, Rejected and Exported.
What each status means
Every receipt shows one status pill, on the list and on the receipt page. Until someone decides on a receipt, the pill says how reading went. Once someone approves or rejects it, the pill shows that decision instead.
- Processing
- SlipInbox is reading the receipt. The fields fill in on their own, usually within a minute.
- Ready
- Read with no doubts and waiting for someone to approve or reject it.
- Needs review
- Something needs a second look before it can be approved. The receipt says what.
- Failed
- Reading didn't finish. The photo is kept: read it again, or fill in the fields yourself.
- Approved
- Approved. It goes out with the next export.
- Rejected
- Rejected. It never goes out in an export and is left out of report totals.
- Exported
- In an export file already, so the books have it.
Uncategorized and duplicates
A receipt with no category also carries an Uncategorized pill beside its status. Choose a category on the receipt page and the pill goes; see Categories.
A receipt that looks like one you already have shows Needs review and says which receipt it matches. See Possible duplicates.
Show one status at a time
On Receipts, the status menu above the list shows one status at a time. To approve shows everything that is Ready or Needs review, which is the work still waiting for a decision. See Find receipts.
