Find your way around

The sidebar on the left holds everything in your workspace. You only see the parts your role can use.

Dashboard

This month’s spending, what needs a look, and the latest receipts. Admins and accountants.

Receipts

Every receipt, with filters, search and the Add receipt and Export buttons. Employees see their own.

Reports

Spending over any period, by category, merchant, contact and more. Admins and accountants.

Settings

Pages for the organization, categories, merchants, custom fields, exports, contacts, email and billing.

Admins and accountants start on Dashboard; employees start on Receipts and have no Settings. Under Settings, admins see every page, while accountants see Categories, Merchants, Custom fields and Exports. Some pages, such as Email and Custom fields, appear only on plans that include them. Your name sits at the bottom of the sidebar. Press the three dots beside it to open the account menu.

• Account changes your name, and is where you leave an organization or delete your account. See Your account and password.
• Help opens these guides in a new tab, so your work stays where it is.
• Dark mode switches between the dark and light look. The menu stays open so you see the change, and SlipInbox remembers your choice in this browser.
• Sign out signs you out on this device.

If you belong to more than one organization, the menu also lists them under Organizations. See Belong to several organizations.

On a phone the sidebar is folded away. Press the menu button at the top right to open it, and the plus button beside it, Add receipt, to add a receipt from any page.
